Rwanda plays Mali in the first leg on July 28 in Kigali, while Nigeria takes on Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Heroes on the same weekend in Dar es Salaam. The Flying Eagles will reside at Alpha Palace. According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu, the match against Rwanda will have a positive impact on their team's performance in the forthcoming qualifiers.The junior wasps beat Tanzania 2-0 and 2-1 in the friendly matches played last week in Dar es Salaam, head coach Richard Tardy is hoping to use the final warm-up match against Nigeria to sharpen his front line.The winner between Rwanda and Mali over two legs will face Zambia in the second round set for September and October. Rwanda is aiming to qualify for finals of the 19th edition due in Algeria next year.In the preliminary round of the qualifiers, Rwanda proved too good for Namibia, ejecting them with a 4-1 goals aggregate over the two legs. The semi-finalists in the competition will also qualify for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
