Not only are Rwandan fans waiting breathlessly to hear Dr Jose Chameleon when he performs at Amahoro Stadium, today, but Ugandan sensation is equally eager to greet his loyal fans.On Sunday, Chameleon will be at Kigali Serena Hotel in a V.I.P show."You can’t imagine how much he is looking forward to perform in Rwanda,” a source close to the singer told The New Times, shortly before a news conference on Thursday evening."With all the love and affection he has received from his Rwandan fans, he’s making sure that he gives them the best performances ever.”"I’m honoured to be in Rwanda after two years,” said Dr Jose Chameleon. "Vulu Vulu is a Swahili word, describing complications in relationships.”"In the song, I was talking about a situation in a relationship where you love someone, but you’re not sure whether that person you love loves you too,” he explained. The song is currently a big hit in East Africa and Asia. His fans are going to be in for a real treat. In addition to such hits as "Vulu Vulu”, "Owakabi” and "Vumilia”, the Ugandan music icon will perform his previous chart busters "Jamila”, "Pole” and many more.But that’s not all they can look forward to. With only a few hours to go, fans must get ready as Dr Chameleon is going to treat Kigali with his music medicine.DrugsThe 33-year-old Afro-beat and Reggae star Dr Chameleon warned artistes, especially the youth against drug abuse."One of the reasons I decided to take part in these concerts – both at Amahoro and Serena –  is the fact that they are designed to raise awareness drug abuse,” he said. "I want to make this very clear before Rwandans that I don’t take illicit drugs. I know people debate a lot (about me) but I don’t use them,”instisted Dr Chameleon. "That’s the reason I try to inspire the young generation not to use drugs. And it’s the same reason I’m here to inspire the youth not to  indulge in drug abuse.” The "Vulu Vulu” concert is organised by Next Entertainment, a local events’ firm. Speaking during the news conference at Kigali Serena Hotel, Eva Binamungu, the CEO of Next Entertainment, said today’s concert would go on until  dawn."People claim that Kigali is a dull city but we want to prove them wrong,” said Binamungu."We have the permission to perform until morning. After Dr Chameleon‘s performance, we shall have a DJs’ competition,” he said.Local artistes expected to perform alongside the popular Ugandan crooner are, Rafiki, Kitoko, Riderman, King James, Dream Boyz and Urban Boyz.Chameleon is the founder and president of Leone Island.The singer is known for his stimulating live performances, and is revered as one of East Africa’s most versatile, creative and crowd-pleasing artistes.
