Reconsider laws on ‘motos’
Dear editor, I find it unfair and inconsiderate to make a lady who’s wearing a skirt to sit like a man on a ‘moto’. On many occasions I would see women (mamas) with bitengi and other women sited on ‘motos’ like men and I kept wondering why they couldn’t sit like ladies, you know both legs on one side.

Dear editor,
I find it unfair and inconsiderate to make a lady who’s wearing a skirt to sit like a man on a ‘moto’. On many occasions I would see women (mamas) with bitengi and other women sited on ‘motos’ like men and I kept wondering why they couldn’t sit like ladies, you know both legs on one side.
I only realized that there is a law against this kind of sitting much later when a motor rider refused to transport me. Those who implement such laws should reconsider them after all in countries like Uganda where I have been, it is okay to sit like a lady if you are one. The sight of indecent women on passing ‘motos’ is not welcoming. Besides no harm will be inflicted on the moto and the rider if a woman sat like a lady.
