He has already worked with well-known local gospel artistes, among them Gaby, Aline, Tonzi, Clark and David. The singer plans to launch his 16-track debut album, "Jubilee” in September in Kigali."This concert will be the stepping stone towards my desire for a wider market for my music,” said Niyukuri. "With the connections I have in Rwanda, I hope and pray it will be possible.” Niyukuri has a number of popular tracks to his name and released his first single, "Komamashi” in 2007. "The song "Yesu Numwami” is among the most popular singles from my new album and was among the top on the gospel billboard in Burundi for over two months,” said Niyukuri.The guitar and saxophone expert is also a sound engineer and director with T.D live production studio. "My studio aims at developing young talent,” said Niyukuri. "I produce music for people at all music levels, right from starters to people that have been in the industry for some time.” The 31-year-old artiste takes you on a journey with songs in French and Kirundi. What makes Niyukuri stand out is not only the fact that he is a talented gospel artiste but he has a gift for drawing people in with his voice and his stage presence. Born in 1981, in the Burundian capital of Bujumbura, Niyukuri grew up in a musical environment. His father was a pastor, guitarist and saxophone player.He started playing piano at the age of nine and picked up the guitar in his early teens. He is a singer/songwriter and music producer.
