Editor,I read with keen interest the headline in yesterday’s issue of The New Times, titled "Clinton to open Butaro Cancer Centre”.The Government of Rwanda’s strong focus on health care is, indeed, commendable. The Ministry of Health always explores suitable international collaborations and partnerships, like the one with the Clinton Foundation to bring medical facilities and quality health care to the people of this beautiful country. As an initiative towards strengthening Indo-Rwandan ties, an eminent ophthalmic surgeon, Dr Quresh Maskati , will be in Kigali from July 30 to August 2, 2012 to offer the people of Rwanda a free eye camp and, if necessary, perform surgeries. He will also meet and interact with the medical fraternity in Kigali, so as to share his vast knowledge and expertise with them. The Indo-Rwandan initiative will also bring in, at the same time , an eminent Homeopath , Dr Sejal Sanghavi, who has successfully treated various diseases like malaria HIV/AIDS, coronary heart diseases , kidney failure, infertility, depression, diabetes, hypertension and cancer with Modern Homeopathy. Dr Sejal has successfully treated thousands of patients over the last 15 years, including many from Kenya, UAE, USA, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. With the pro-active approach of the Ministry of Health, Rwanda could gradually become a Medical Tourism Hub for the EAC region.Clarence Fernandes
