Rwandan artiste making waves in Uganda

Patrice Musasizi, better known as Chozen Blood, has become a household name in neigbouring Uganda following the release of his single, "Pressure ya love”.  The song is already enjoying massive airplay in most of the radio stations in Uganda."Here in Uganda, so far, many people know who Chosen is,” he admits. "I’m looking at pushing it back home in Rwanda, as I can’t wait to get back to Kigali.” In addition, Chozen Blood's songs have had significant incursion into other East African countries."I’m looking at promoting my music in Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa hopefully,” says the 23-year-old singer.Chozen Blood started his career in 2003 and sings in different music genres, including Zouk, Afrobeat, R&B, Reggae and several African styles."Pressure ya love” is the title of his new album, which is due to be released soon. Rocky – yet inspiring - lyrics, smooth vocals and psychedelic beats all combine to create an engaging album. "Generally, the music industry is growing fast. Some of our videos in East African are currently screened on Channel O and MTV Base television which shows progress in the regional music industry—however, more still needs to be done,” Chozen Blood adds.
