Best friends always make each other happy when they are sad. Net photo.

There lived a little boy called Paul who became very ill and unable to leave the house. Because other children were not able to come see him, he suffered greatly. With nothing to do, all he did was stare at the window until one day he saw a funny shape outside. It was a penguin eating a sausage. It came close and said hello and then run away.Very surprised, Paul was still trying to work out what had just happened, when he saw a monkey outside his window wearing a nappy and was busy blowing a balloon. At first, Paul wondered if he was mad, but after a while, as more and more crazy-looking characters appeared outside his window, he burst out laughing and found it hard to stop.Within no time, his health had improved so much that he was able to go back to school again. When Paul reached school, as he talked with his best friend, he saw something sticking out of his friend’s school bag.  He looked into the bag and right inside, were all the fancy-dress suits and disguises that his best friend had been using to try to cheer him up while he was sick. And from that day on, little Paul always did his best to make sure that no one felt sad and alone.
