SOME 1,000 ex-combatants during Cote d’Ivoire’s post-election crisis will be reinserted in the construction sector, a source from the National Program for Post- Conflict Assistance (PAPC) said on Sunday.The ex-combatants will be recruited to help in the rehabilitation of the 18 regional offices across the country, a program which has been initiated by the government with the support of the World Bank.He PAPC coordinator Philippe Koffi said he was pleased with the employment opportunity that had been offered to Cote d’Ivoire youths who will now be able to put their skills and energy to the country’s reconstruction program.The World Bank’s director of operations Madani Tall expressed his joy because of the program that targets ex-combatants, whose post-conflict assistance was required.
