AMAVUBI Stars assistant coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira is set to face the Ferwafa executive committee today to answer allegations of match-fixing.The former Rwandan international shocked the local football fraternity a fortnight ago when he confessed to bribing Rayon Sport players during a 2009 league match with SC Kiyovu - which he coached at the time.The Ferwafa executive committee will use the recorded 3-hour interview he gave to local football journalists to inquire how he bribed Rayon players to throw the match.That encounter ended 3-2 in favour of Kiyovu and led to the sacking of coach Jean Baptiste Kayiranga, who was coaching the Blues then.Desperate for a win, Ntagwabira claimed to have used a prominent Rayon fan, a one Issa Baritonda to bribe Rayon players ahead of their crucial tie. Kiyovu finished fourth that season but were promoted to third following the withdrawal from the league by Atraco that had finished second and Etincelles in third.The Ferwafa executive committee met last week and decided to summon the former APR and Atraco coach to appear before them for further questioning as the allegations continue to a major talking point in local football circles.Ferwafa CEO Michel Gasingwa said, "Ntagwabira’s fate will be known after healing his side of the story.If found guilty, Ntagwabira is most likely to be dropped from the post as the national team first assistant coach.He was also Dujkovic Ratomir’s assistant in 2004 when Rwanda made its maiden appearance at the finals tournament of the African cup of Nations held in Tunisia.Ntagwabira and Eric Nshimiyimana were appointed last October as Amavubi assistant coaches to assist Serbian Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic .
