Junior wasps face Heroes in second friendly

The national U-20 side, the Junior Wasps return to action this afternoon to play their second friendly match against their Tanzanian counterparts Ngorongoro Heroes at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

TodayTz U-20  vs Rwanda U-20The national U-20 side, the Junior Wasps return to action this afternoon to play their second friendly match against their Tanzanian counterparts Ngorongoro Heroes at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.Rwanda won the first warm-up match 2-0 on Saturday thanks to goals from Mukura striker Emmanuel Sebanani a.k.a Crespo and Police’s midfielder Jean d’Amour Uwimana.Coach Richard Tardy is using two matches to prepare his troops ahead of the Africa Youth Championship second round, first leg qualifier against Mali slated for July 28 at Amahoro stadium.The junior wasps booked a date against Mali after eliminating Namibia in the first round. The task ahead looks tougher for the junior wasps, but yet, it is another opportunity for Rwandan youngsters to try and go a step further in the qualifiers after being eliminated by Zambia in the same round during the 2010 qualifiers.After Tanzania, the junior wasps will face Nigeria on July 24 in Kigali. Nigeria have confirmed they will play the match against Rwanda on their way to Tanzania.Amavubi will have to be at their best if they dream of appearing in the 2013 U-20 African Youth Championship in Algeria. Mali was ranked 4th in the last edition in South Africa and participated in the last FIFA U-20 world Cup in Colombia.Eight teams that come out on top of two legged ties of the qualifying round will qualify for the Africa Youth Championship which will be staged in Algeria next year. The semi-finalists in the tournament will qualify for the 2013 FIFA U-20 world Cup in Turkey.Probable line-up: Olivier Kwizera, Michel Rusheshangoga, Hamdan Bariyanga, Emery Bayisenge, Faustin Usengimana, Jean d’Amour Uwimana, Tumaine Ntamuhanga, Emmanuel Sebanani, Patrick Sibomana, Bonny Bayingana and Julius Bakkabulindi.
