The Basketball Africa League (BAL) today announced the long lineup of entertainers that will be headlining the halftime performances of the BAL playoffs that kicks off today at BK Arena.
Among the artistes confirmed to stage during BAL are Rwanda’s music stars Juno Kizigenza, Ariel Wayz and Kenny Sol, all who are expected to perform during the game between REG BBC and Egyptian giants Al Ahly slated for today, May 20.
The game will also see renowned disc Jockey Michael Ndungu aka DJ Fully Focus and Contact Makeda spin the decks at the halftime show of game one.
Others include ‘Inana’s’ hit maker Chris Eazy, Kivumbi King, Tanzanian star Ommy Dimpoz, and DJ Toxxyk, all who will perform during quarterfinals day two and semi-finals.
The championship game slated for May 27, will be headlined by Rwanda’s Afrobeat sensation Bruce Melodie and DJ Neptune from Nigeria.
All tickets for the opening game today have been sold out but the tournament will run for a week and there will surely be plenty of opportunities to follow action live at the BK Arena, even if you may have missed out on an opening day ticket.
All tickets can be bought via TiCQet with the most affordable option priced at Rwf1,250. This particular ticket gives you access to the Upper Bowl seats and the fan zone just outside of the building that will be teeming with revelers, entertainment, including DJ live sessions and performances from different local artistes.
Tickets for the Lower Bowl seats go for Rwf12,750 each, while a ticket for a third-row courtside seat will see you part with Rwf41,250. First and second-row seats are reserved for VVIPs and VIPs.
The tournament, in its third edition, has drawn eight clubs from across Africa which will be contesting for the championship.
Up to 240 TV channels, including Rwanda public broadcaster RBA and KC2, are expected to broadcast the tournament.
