APR head coach Rene Feller was left perplexed by the display of the match officials who officiated at his team’s league game with Kiyovu on Sunday which ended 1-1.

Ferwafa and Caf licenced referee, Issa Kagabo reduced APR to nine and Kiyovu to ten players. APR’s Fredrick Onyango and Fuadi Ndayisenga and Marcel Lomami were sent off.

Kagabo also disallowed APR’s would be winner in the 80th minute through striker Elias Uzamukunda much to Feller’s disappointment.

The nine-time league champions came from behind to grab a 75th equalizer from Fuadi Ndayisenga. Striker Madjaliwa Niyonzima had put the Kiyovu ahead in the 20th minute of the game as he shot home from a Claude Iranzi’s free kick.

"The referee made things hard for us (APR).The two sending off were contentious as my players made minimal contact with the opponents.”

"These are tough decisions that so often kill the entire game plan and there was nothing we could do about them despite my boys dominating the game,” the Dutchman bitterly complained.

However, the former Eritrean national team coach stressed that his team needs to win all their four remaining matches and hope that Atraco drop some points along the way if they are going to have any chance of defending their title successfully.

The draw left the military side four points behind table leaders Atraco who themselves beat AS Kigali 2-1 to further increase their chances of winning their first silverware since being promoted to the topflight division close to three years ago.

Striker Abedi Mulenda scored a brace in a 2-1 goal victory over AS Kigali to keep his side in sight of winning this year’s league title. Mulenda also took his goal tally to eight goals scored this season.

Jimmy Gatete and Jean Lomami scored for Rayon Sport as the Blues recorded a 2-1win over Marines at Mironko grounds.

In Southern Province, Mukura hammered Kibuye 3-0 while relegation battling side Police shocked Electrogaz 1-0 at Camp Kigali grounds. Relegation bound Etincelles defeated Military 2-1 in Gisenyi.
