The Speaker of Parliament, Rose Mukantabana, recently met with the Rwandan Diaspora in South Africa and briefed them about the operations of the parliament.Mukantabana met with the Rwandan Diaspora after attending the 43rd Meeting of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (Africa region).A statement from the Rwanda High Commission in South Africa, indicated that the speaker requested Rwandans to always take part in the drafting and amending of the laws using digital means.At the Invitation of the South African Parliament, Mukantabana was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Unity, Francois Byabarumwanzi, and the clerk of the lower chamber of deputies, Immaculee Mukarurangwa.The meeting with the Rwandan community i was attended by about 60 people from different sectors. They also included students, lecturers and business people.
