The first ever national tennis ranking system tournament is scheduled to be held this month from July 26-3 August at Cercle Sportif in Rugunga.According to the chairman of Rwanda Tennis Federation Theoneste Karenzi, the raking system is being introduced to take the game to a higher level by ranking players according to their ability."it is an international system that helps players know which categories they are in and further helps to motivate them to work harder to better themselves,” Karenzi, who was elected early this year.There will be three categories involved in the tournament, men, women and U-16.The tournament is the first in a series of competitions that will award points to players and officials in the tennis federation are optimistic it will motivate players and increase competition.
