In the last few years, many restaurants and eating places have come up. Some of them have come and gone while others (most of them) have survived and in fact grown. However, among all the food joints in Kigali, none has been a force to reckon with like Naureez, the name responsible for the take away revolution that many of us thought would never happen.Naureez opened doors to the public last year. At the time it started, getting a take away joint before mid day was a hustle; in fact it was almost impossible to get a take away joint on weekends.Currently, Naureez restaurant has three outlets; one in town on the ground floor of the CogeBanque building and the other in Nyamirambo. The KBC outlet (just above Planet Night Club) that most of you know was the first to open and in fact works 24 hours daily apart from Mondays. It’s not hard to know what kind of food take away joints offer but for the case of clarity, I think we shall dig into some of the specialities you can order for at Naureez.Top on their menu is; pilawo, white rice, chips, beef, kebab, chaps, fried cassava, sausages, peas, chicken, chapatti, rolex and eggrolls. They also serve African tea and coffee. All the above food stuffs are served at all Naureez outlets but you can also order for some food from Naureez if you’re in the office having a busy day or chilling home on weekends and don’t have the time to cook a meal. All you need is to give good directions to your office or work and you’re sorted.‘Since joints like mine are meant to deliver fast service to the people, I decided it would be better if I opened up a line where people can order for food and we deliver it to them wherever they are. We are happy people are enjoying the services’ said Naurice Balinda Kananura, the proprietor of Naureez Restaurants.
