ANOTHER SPELL: Emmanuel Ruremesha.

MUKURA Victory Sports are set to snub Didier Gomez Da Rosa and appoint Emmanuel Ruremesha on a permanent basis.Speaking to Time Sports the club general secretary Mulindahabi Olivier said Ruremesha is their prime target. Last year Gomez made himself available with a view of taking over from then Mukura coach, Godefroid  Okonkwo  .Ruremesha was appointed as care taker coach after Okonkwo opted to move on at the end of last national League campaign. Ruremesha failed to impress in the two legged quarter-final of MTN Peace Cup against AS Kigali, but that clearly didn’t affect the faith Mukura have in the former La jeunesse coach."Ruremesha permanent appointment is our priority, his temporary contract expires onJuly,5 . We don’t intend to speak to any other coach unless otherwise”, Mulindahabi said.Mulindahabi says Mukura plan to give Ruremesha a one year contract which will be backed by transfer funds to allow the team to compete next season. "We identified four positions we need to reinforce. We will sign a striker, a defensive and attacking midfielder and right back”, he revealed. Ruremesha’s appointment will be a blow to Gomez who had spelt out plan after agreeing terms with with Mukura VS.  The   Frenchman said he had held talks with the former president Abraham Nayandi who seemingly was convinced by the plan to form the club’s backbone on local talent.Ruremesha will have his work cut out as he has to match Okonkwo’s achievement of leading to the Southern Province based side to a respectable third place finish with a relatively limited squad. After winning the relegation battle the previous season, Nyanza FC, Nyamagabe FC,Muhanga and Musanze rejects in Okonkwo’s team, took the top division by surprise and the first victim was APR who they beat 1-0 in the first leg.Ruremesha started his coaching career at Mukura before spells at the defunct Atraco FC and Rayon Sport.
