Sandvikens IF midfielder Yannick Mukunzi will be out for at least three weeks after suffering a groin injury.

The Rwanda international returned to action this season after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury and has been performing well at the club during the current campaign.

Mukunzi took part in Tuesday’s training session before he limped off the training pitch in pain after sustaining a groin injury.

The 27-year-old, as a result, missed his team's 1-1 draw with Taby in the Ettan League match day 8 encounter on Wednesday while his countryman and current teammate Lague Byiringiro, who made his debut last week, was an unused substitute.

He could return to action when his side face Pitea in the league on June 4.

The former Rayon Sports and APR midfielder has played six league games for Sandvikens IF so far this season as the team now sits third on the Ettan Norra League table.
