Dear editor,

It has been noticed that people with visual impairments, have been left out as far as anti HIV/AIDS campaigns are concerned. This has been fueled by a naïve perception that the blind people, don’t engage in sexual relations.

This is a terrible oversight, more especially after a considerable insight into their lives. It has been discovered that the blind people, as a compensation for their unfortunate state, resort to sex, partly because of their low self esteem.

The blind, therefore have been found to be hugely vulnerable to the deadly virus, more than any other group. So this is to awaken the public and other concerned agencies, to find a way of including the blind.
