First leg: yesterdayRayon 1-3 APR Second leg: Sunday APR vs RayonHOLDERS APR have one foot in this year’s MTN Peace Cup final after winning the first semi-final leg against archrivals Rayon Sports 3-1 yesterday at Stade de Kigali, Nyamirambo.Haitian striker Leonel St. Preux put the military side in-front after just two minutes in a one sided match that champions dominated throughout.The Twite twin brothers were in impressive form with Mbuyu marshaling the defence while Kabange, who led the line from the front, scored immediately after the break to give his side a 2-0 lead.The score was 3-0 moments later when Seleman Ndikumana, Kabange and Papy Faty were involved in a nice interchange of passes which allowed the latter to chip the Blues’ substitute goalkeeper Alphonse Nzeyimana for the third goal.Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s side pulled one back through Hamiss Cedric from a free-kick but it was just a consolation for the fans who had come in big numbers to support their team. Some did not see Cedric’s goal which came after they had already left the stadium after APR scored the third goal.Earlier, on Wednesday, last year’s losing finalists Police FC played out a goalless draw with AS Kigali in the first semifinal return leg match.
