Editor,It is good news to hear that Rwanda’s mobile phone subscribers increased by 2.4 per cent in May, according to latest figures from Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Agency (RURA).This is commendable because it signals the growth of the communication industry in the country. My only worry is that as more cell phones get imported in the country, more are also getting used up.We should get a clear policy on the dumping of the used up cell phones because they may soon become hazardous to the environment.For example, cell phone batteries contain arsenic which is a great danger to human health.Rich M
