As Rwanda plans to celebrate its 50th independence day on July 1, political experts say a lot has happened in the past but should focus on where it will be in the next 50 years.Alongside the Independence Day celebrations, it will also celebrate 18 years after the 1994 liberation struggle which brought an end to the Genocide against the Tutsi. The two events have been placed under one theme "A Journey of Resilience” and the country will reflect on post-independence history, its struggles, challenges and lessons learned as a people determined to forge a brighter future.
