LONDON – Reports in Spain suggest Didier Drogba could be set to join Barcelona in an extraordinary transfer from his new club Shanghai Shenhua.Drogba last week signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Chinese club but is believed to be travelling to Barcelona to discuss a possible move to Camp Nou.Spanish broadcaster TV3 claims Drogba has a clause in his contract with Shanghai that allows him to talk to Barcelona and that the striker is ready to invoke it to move to La Liga.Drogba, 34, is now expected to arrive in Barcelona on Tuesday, though the club have so far remained silent on the issue. The striker ended an eight-year career at Chelsea this summer when leaving on a free transfer, his final contribution being the winning penalty in Munich that secured a first Champions League trophy for the London club.Drogba scored 157 goals for Chelsea after joining the club in a £24 million deal from Marseille in the summer of 2004.
