AFTER a two week break, Team Rwanda riders yesterday started training for the Tour de Roi slated to run from August 31 to September 2.Coach Jonathan Boyer will not make any changes to the team that put up impressive performances in the Tour of Eritrea: Team Captain Nathan Byukusenge and veteran Abraham Ruhumuriza, who also won the recent Kwita Izina cycling tour, will lead the country’s charge alongside Joseph Biziyaremye, Hadi Janvier, Nicodem Habiyaremye and Emmanuel Rudahunga.Having taken part in the race last year, Boyer expects his team to "challenge for podium places in the 5-day event.”Meanwhile, the Rwanda Cycling Federation is trying to secure training clinics for the talented duo of Biziyaremye and Janvier in Switzerland next month.Biziyaremye, who only started competitive cycling last year, is one of the most talented riders since Adrien Niyonshuti broke onto the local cycling scene in 2009.The Rubavu based rider won the Kigali-Rubavu stage in last year’s Tour of Rwanda and during this year’s Kwita Izina cycling challenge tour.
