FOUR star establishment, The Manor Hotel that is located in Kigali’s leafy suburb of Nyarutarama, will on June 30, host the first ever masquerade ball night.  According to the marketing manager of The Manor Hotel, Irene Nuwagaba, the entrance fee is pegged at Frw5, 000, as guests will be expected to wear fancy face masks. Nuwagaba revealed that those willing to acquire more fancy masks are required to pay Frw8, 000. "We expect men to be smart in either official or casual wear, while ladies should dress outfits that resemble fashions won in 1960’s or something backdated.”Apart from the big event, Nuwagaba wants to keep the hotel’s frequent clients entertained. In this respect, she has introduced daily events.As a beginning, Monday evening will be dedicated to Shisha smokers who will be served with various tobacco flavours. During this event, Manor’s DJ Rovers will play soft rock music, known to add more thrill to hooker smoking.On Tuesday, latest movies will be screened.  According to Nuwagaba, The Manor aims to bring the feeling of cinema locally with moviegoers served soft drinks and popcorns as is the trend with movie theaters.On Wednesday will be "Beautiful People” with where activities will be geared at facilitating interaction between single ladies and gentlemen. What’s more, the first 50 ladies will be served a free cocktail drink.And Thursday is karaoke night, a growing trend in Kigali though revellers would be expected to dance to tango, salsa, rhumba, among others.Starting Friday evening throughout the weekend is Swagga night that caters for youthful clients and featuring DJ Rovers, who will play urban jams ranging from pop and hip hop and old-schools.The party continues on Saturday with Reggae-Ragga night. Finally, Sunday closes down the weeklong events in style. Starting from mid-day to 7p.m is disco night targeting mostly the youth. Later that evening,  beginning at 7p.m, is Bollywood night that will feature Asian fusion comprising meals, music and cultural dances from Asia.
