Editor,It is interesting to learn that another high-ranking member of the Democratic Liberation Forces of Rwanda (FDLR) militia, Maj. Justin Niyomugabo, last week defected from the terrorist group and returned home voluntarily.

From what he told the media upon arrival, it’s indeed clear that a war that has no justification is not only senseless but also futile.I wish to thank his relatives for having played a central role in convincing him to return home, especially by telling him the whole truth about Rwanda, and making it clear that all the false lies about Rwanda were only designed to dissuade him from returning to his homeland. It is obvious that no sensible Rwandan or anyone else would support FDLR, let alone being part of it. Rwanda is bustling with peace, growth and opportunity, and no citizen should miss the chance to take a part in this audacious and fulfilling journey.  Today, Rwandans are united and even the Genocide survivors have reconciled with the perpetrators.Daniel
