Tumaine Ntamuhanga extended Rayon’s lead two minutes before recess. After the breaky Kiyovu looked the more threatening side and they got a lucky break when winger Jabir Mutarambirwa’s free kick beat Goal keeper Willy Kabuya to give the Green Baggies a fighting chance.Mutarambirwa scored from another free kick nine minutes from time but Rayon held on to their slim one goal advantage to proceed to the semi-finals where they play champions APR who needed two late goals to see off Sec Academy.Last year’s losing finalists Police thrashed Marines 4-1 which made it 9-1 on aggregate after their 5-0 rout in the first leg.AS Kigali will play the law enforcers in the first semi-final on Tuesday after seeing off Mukura 3-0.The return legs will be played over the weekend while the final is slated for July 4.The winner will represent Rwanda in next year’s CAF Orange Confederation Cup.MTN Rwanda has sponsored the Peace Cup since 2008. The Peace Cup values are also anchored government’s policy to promote reconciliation among Rwandans. The winners of the tournament will walk away with Rwf5m, the runners-up and third placed team will get Rwf3 and Rwf2m, respectively.
