Ladies, it’s time to nail it out with Acrylics

I look at young girls whenever I am in public places, and I can’t help but envy them. These youngsters have been born in very good times indeed, where everything has been simplified by the touch of a button.

I look at young girls whenever I am in public places, and I can’t help but envy them. These youngsters have been born in very good times indeed, where everything has been simplified by the touch of a button.A few weeks ago, I was invited to a ladies day out and was very excited to go because, it was one of those days that you just need to go out and have some fun with girls. On reaching the venue my good friend Jackie was in a group of young executive ladies who are on top of their game in their careers, and the only way they know how is to continue climbing up the corporate ladder. These ladies, including my friend were so smart. But what caught my eye were their nails. Each and every girl in that group had her nails looking beautiful; they all had acrylics of different color and design. Some had plain polish, while others had flowered designs, to say they were looking good is an understatement. You might have seen a lady with very perfect nails, but until she tells you- you will not tell whether they are real or extensions. Acrylics are fake nails that are fixed over fingernails as fashion accessories. These nails attempt to mimic the appearance of real fingernails as closely as possible, though other designs deliberately stray in appearance from real fingernails. They are made from a wide variety of materials. The first time I came across these fake nails were in the early nineties when my elder sister had a function to attend and decided to have her nails extended by fixing the acrylics. They looked so nice on her that, every time I came back home from school, I would ask her if I could see and touch them again. I was very disappointed to come home one day and find that the beautiful nails were no more; being a kind sister she promised me that once I was through with school-she would give me an acrylics treat-she lived up to her promise when she treated me to a manicure many years later.Acrylic nails first became popular back in the eighties. Originally, acrylic nails were made from dental acrylic. They were thick, yellowed easily, and were extremely bad for your nails. Today’s acrylics are designed thinner, more flexible, and designed for everyday wear for the sophisticated woman. The acrylic nails have gained popularity at the time when they are needed the most compared to when they were first launched. This is good news especially to those women who bite their nails, this is like a God’s gift to them, and thanks to acrylics they now have no reason to hide their bad looking nails. In fact with acrylics, they do not break when bitten as easily as the natural ones. The other good thing that has made acrylics more popular is that they are easy to polish. Once applied, the color does not wear off easily like it does in the natural nails. They are also cheap to maintain; once they are fixed they can take between two to four weeks before they wear out. When the acrylic nails are fixed by a professional, they look very nice. Today a woman’s image is everything. When we talk of grooming, some might think it only goes up to dressing, but not anymore. For an executive lady, her nails must look every part of the image as well.If you have bad nails, acrylics will do you good-they will give your finger nails the desired look, and you will no longer hide them under the table when in the presence of people.
