Cameroon-born center Ulrich Chomche has joined his teammates at the Rwanda Energy Group (REG) basketball club camp ahead of the much-anticipated 2023 BAL playoffs that will take place at BK Arena from May 20-27.

The recent BAL Elevate draft saw Chomche drafted to play for REG and was with the team that secured a ticket to the playoffs through the Sahara Conference.
The 17-year-old is regarded as one of the standout prospects to watch at BAL 2023 given his incredible rise from playing for Cameroon’s basketball powerhouse Forces Armées et Police (FAP) aged just 16 before joining NBA Academy Africa.
Times Sport has learned that Chomche arrived in the country on Monday and immediately trained with the rest of the roster the morning session at STECOL basketball court.
Home side REG will take on Egyptian giants Al Ahly in one of the must-watch quarterfinals that will take place Saturday, May 20, at 7.30pm Kigali Time.
