Editor,There is no doubt that the government has done a great job in empowering women and having girl child educated. Since the current government took over power, we have witnessed women leaders play a significant role in the transformation of Rwanda and also engage in poverty reduction activities.However, I would like to appeal to all Rwandan women leaders to initiate policies that would ensure that all women, even those based in rural areas, have equal access to opportunities. Though it’s everyone’s responsibility that women are treated in equal measure as men, I am sure women leaders can play a greater role.Charlotte UwamariyaNyamata
