Editor,I read several stories about the officials of the Ministry of Agriculture encouraging Rwandans to invest more in this sector. Indeed that should be the way to go since agriculture is the backbone of African economies.Our country has already invested a lot in the agriculture sector and farmers have benefited a lot. I visited several districts recently and realised that rural communities had immensely benefited from various programmes, such as the One-Cow-per-Poor-Family.Rwanda Animal Resources Authority (RARDA) and other agriculture related institutions should continue to support farmers so that they improve the quality of their products.Pauline BatamulizaKigali
