A cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame Wednesday, approved a plan that would see several premises currently hosting government pave way for developers as part of the implementation of the City of Kigali master plan. The Minister in charge of Cabinet Affairs, Protais Musoni, said the move was meant to facilitate investments in line with the city master plan. "The government is selling off good public plots to private investors and at the same time constructing other premises that will accommodate the affected institutions while adhering to the master plan,” Musoni said, in a telephone interview.

Among those affected are the head offices of the Rwanda Public Procurement Authority (RPPA) and Media High Council (MHC), both located in the Central Business District (CBD), Nyarugenge District.
