Go easy on that make up

As a teenager, natural and sheer makeup is best. Net photo.

When I was sixteen, I lived for makeup. Watching my mother wear hers when I was much younger made me want to speed up time so I could start decorating my face too. However, as a teenager, there are some limits. As a child, you have no business wearing makeup at all. But as a girl, blossoming into a young adult, a few occasions won’t hurt. I am not talking about heavy mascara, eye shadow and hot red lipstick – keep it light and natural.Natural make up is worn by people who are not into heavy stuff. It is also perfect for people who wish to hide skin disorders like acne. Kids can be mean – especially when they are young and silly. They tease others about situations one can’t control. If a little makeup is going to help boost someone’s confidence then I don’t see the harm in that. However, everything has to be natural and sheer. Its fine to start experimenting with makeup at an early age –if your mum agrees to it. Talk to her, she might be more understanding than you think. After all, as a girl she knows what it’s like to want to fit in. It is important that fitting in doesn’t make you change your personality completely. If you are comfortable in your own skin, then save the makeup for later years…or a party maybe. Here are a few tips on how to apply natural make up.Apply moisturizer. Always use sunscreen especially if you have issues with hyper pigmentation. With a foundation brush, gently stipple one shade lighter than your skin tone to cover any darkness around your eyes.If you have acne, acne mineral makeup is better for your skin than normal foundation.Girls with oilier skin might want to stick to powder, while girls with drier skin prefer cream foundation or tinted moisturizer. Although hardly necessary, apply clear mascara with an eyelash curler.Lip Gloss is great for a light, glossy look. It’s cute enough for school and adds a perfect glow to your finished look. Always remember to wash off your makeup before you go to bed.
