It’s wrong to politicise our genders

Editor,I feel the need to respond to a particular article that was published in The New Times titled, "To what extent is Rwanda feminist?”,  because I believe that the essence of the meaning of feminism was misinterpreted and misconstrued for Gitura Mwaura.Women should not show preference to themselves as much as they claim men do. I would like to give you an example of how I was taught how to view feminisim. The other day right in the middle of my feminist speech, the ALMIGHTY GOD whispered that GENDER HAS ALWAYS BEEN HIS CHOICE not ours (Genesis 1:26-27 Psalm 139:14). Therefore, it is rather narcissistic and redundant to sing or touch or politicise our genders.Far better to walk humbly and quietly whatever and wherever GOD’s plans and purposes take us (Micah 6:7-8).Maragaret S.
