Youth in Gatsibo District have been urged to help in crime prevention by sharing information with security organs.The call was made yesterday by Cabinet Affairs Minister, Protais Musoni, while addressing residents of Kiramuruzi sector, where he attended Police Week activities in the area."Police cannot be everywhere, it would be good if the youth here avail information so that the law enforcers can effectively intervene in fighting criminals,” Musoni said.The Inspector General of Police, Emmanuel Gasana, pointed out that the youth are mainly to blame for various criminal activities.After the event, a football match was played between Police officers and the youth in the District.During the event, three houses were built for the most vulnerable citizens while two more families were given cows.Police has been conducting similar activities since the start of Police Week. The initiative aims at promoting good health among Rwandans and more importantly eradicate poverty as it is blamed to be a source criminality.The event attracted members of Rwanda National Police, Rwanda Defence Forces as well as Gatsibo residents.
