Military hospital doing a great job

Editor,Quite often Rwandan hospitals and health centres are cited as perfect examples of poor service delivery in the country. I have not carried out my own research about that issue, and, therefore, will desist from passing a judgment.

Nonetheless, it is important to always give credit where it is due. In The New Times of June 8, it was reported that the Rwanda Military Hospital laboratory had gained a Four-Star rating. For me this did not come as a surprise considering how this hospital performs generally. Indeed, the military hospital deserved the promotion because as some people know, its head, Dr Ben Karenzi, has proven that he’s a great leader.I have no doubt that the hospital will continue to provide excellent services. Congratulations to management and staff for the latest achievement.

Editor,I would like to congratulate the administration and staff of the Rwanda Military Hospital and the military leadership, in general, for their great achievement. In your article that was published in yesterday’s paper, "Military hospital lab gets 4 Star rating”, Capt Athere Murangwa was quoted as saying that it has taken only three years for the hospital to move from rate 0 to 4.That is an amazing achievement by any standards. It is a demonstration that with good leadership anyone can excel no matter the circumstances.I would like to send my personal congratulations and request to the staff and leadership of the hospital, and to encourage them to keep up the great work. However, I must add that this shouldn’t be seen as a surprise considering the reputation of excellence the Rwandan military has built over the years. Other hospitals should borrow a leaf.
