Editor,Please allow me respond to your story, "More Rwandans adopting children,” which was published last week, in reference to the government’s policy to close down all orphanages. I truly hope that this policy works well for Rwandan children. We were sadly one of many international families who very much wanted to adopt a child from Rwanda and give them a loving family.After preparing our hearts and our family for two and a half years, the government will not allow us to help them because it has decided to close down orphanages. We are devastated by the decision and are praying that Rwandans will continue to foster and adopt these little ones so that they will all have loving homes in their own country.Anonymous
