Rwamagana – The National Electoral Commission (NEC) has started an awareness campaign among its agents across the country on its five-year strategic plan. The campaign was taken to the Eastern Province yesterday, by the commission’s Executive Secretary, Charles Munyaneza, attracting hundreds of polling agents. Munyaneza said that part of the strategic plan was to use ICT in handling election procedures and equipment, adding that there wouldn’t be any unnecessary burdens."Our strategic plan should be known to every single electoral commissioner. It must be clear up to the lowest levels as we head for a number of elections to 2017”.Elections slated within this timeframe include parliamentary elections, grassroots elections and finally the presidential elections that are slated for 2017.
