Diversify the sports fraternity

Dear editor,

In many places of the world, football has taken the fore-front as far as sports and games are concerned. However, it has gone ahead to blind some people, to believe that football is the only game that has capacity to thrill people.

When it comes to African countries, it becomes worse, in that most people have entirely abandoned other sports, in favour of football. You find a person who would have excelled in tennis or basketball, struggling with football.

People need to know that we have different callings and talents, and that we are virtually different. So there is no reason of clinging onto something you are not good at, just because many people like it or do it, yet there are other things that you can do impeccably well.
