Editor,After I read the article, ‘Gov’t slams UN report on DRC’, in The New Times of Tuesday, May 29, I couldn’t believe the wild accusations levelled against the Government of Rwanda!I would like to ask the accusers one question: why would the Rwanda, a nation with an experienced and highly trained army, send villagers to be trained and fight alongside Congolese rebels?I have begun to believe that there is definitely something fundamentally wrong with MONUSCO (the UN Mission in DRC), and of course let’s not forget the good old BBC. Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Louise Mushikiwabo was fairly clear in her response, and I personally agree that Rwanda has everything to gain from peaceful collaboration with the DRC. I also liked the way the Congolese Minister for Communications, Lambert Mende, brushed aside the allegations. Jean Mulombi
