Dandruff sometimes is not a sign of one being dirty. It is a condition in which dead skin cells on the scalp are shed off excessively, and too quickly.

This effect can be caused by a lot of things, for example psoriasis, dermatitis, a fungal infection or even a dry skin. Dandruff sometimes comes with itching and one has to keep scratching the scalp, thus producing those telltale flakes that are so irritating. One knowing what causes the dandruff may not make the scalp feel better but finding a solution and learning how to manage the dandruffs would be better. So, if you have that problem always try to find a solution to it.Try using medicated shampoos whenever you shampoo your hair. Some of these shampoos are created to cure particular causes of the dandruff. Some have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agents so they could address the cause from the fungal infection. Shampooing hair everyday helps you fight this problem. When you do the shampooing, always do it two times taking the first shampooing for clearing away the flakes, and the second one for penetrating, and treating the scalp. You could leave the second shampooing for about five minutes after the first.Sometimes it’s good to give up on some of the hair products like gels, sprays, mousses which sometimes build up on the scalp overtime and flake off looking like dandruff. They may be even be trapped on your scalp, thus exacerbating your condition.Moisturising hair may help fight dandruff so always try it out. You could use tea tree moisturizer which contains anti-septic and anti-fungal agents, and can help fight dandruff caused by fungal infections. Apply it and leave it in for about 15minutes before rinsing it away. You could even add it to your shampoo, so it is always there whenever you do shampoo your hair.Scalp oiling can also help deal with dandruff so try oiling you hair every now and then.
