Ruterana 74     (231)Jean Baptiste Hakizimana had a "terrible” day on Day 3 of the Bujumbura Golf Open after shooting five bogeys that resulted in a two over par 73 but remained 3rd on the overall Leaderboard.Kenya’s Dimas Indiza and Ugandan Deo Akope were still lead with 209 and 215 respectively going into Day 4 yesterday."There was a heavy downpour, so the greens were a bit slippery which made the ball run faster,” the 26-year old said on phone yesterday from Bujumbura. Hakizimana finished fourth last year and is hoping to go a step higher. His compatriot Emmanuel Ruterana shot three over par 73 but his poor start on Day 1 and 2 did not help his cause despite climbing from 15th to 13th place. After the Burundi Open, the duo will switch focus to the Nairobi leg of the KCB East African Golf tour set for July.About 40 professional golfers from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Burundi are expected to grace the event that will have prize money of Rwf7.47m.
