Editor,This is with reference to an article that I read in yesterday’s issue of The New Times, under the headline, "New report shows gender disparity in agric. sector”.

The article said there were gender disparities in the agriculture sector in Africa, Latin America and Asia – and I must add that I find the findings relevant.In Rwanda, for instance, we have gender friendly policies, but there remains a big challenge when it comes to implementation, especially at the grassroots level.
