NOTHING excited me more going to church as a child like the beautiful stained glass windows that were so evident in my local parish church- which also happened to be the Cathedral. The church was built over one hundred years ago, and I must say it was built with a lot of taste! On each window, there is a large stained glass window each with a different theme; in this case each window had a stained picture of a saint. Looking at these windows, it is a testimony that architects and building contractors of those days were so full of energy, and that building such an extra-ordinary church was not only prestigious, but it also portrayed the great trial of their patience; just imagine putting together someone’s portrait in form of glass, capturing the skin color as well as the details of the clothes! Now you can imagine to my utter surprise when I found that one lady who is in love with stained glass, decided to have the windows in her home in stained glass; simply beautiful! In the many years that I boost to have travelled far and wide, I have never come across a home which used stained glass on the windows; the only place I knew that stained glass was used was in churches and nowhere else! In fact even the churches that bear stained glass windows today are the old Cathedrals which are over 50 years and above.By the way, when it comes to windows-nothing can transform a room and create magic like the colorful stained glass windows. During the day as the sun shines the magic is created inside your home. At night, with the lights on, passers-by will enjoy them from the outside-the lighting effects that these stained glass films create are simply stunning.  The greatest virtue of stained glass is that its appearance is constantly transformed by the ever changing light. What is so amazing with the stained glass window film is that it allows you to bring the beauty of majestic cathedrals into your home. Life has been simplified; it is now easy to achieve an absolutely divine look for your home, and can now be found ready-made like any other glass; unlike in the olden days when order had to be placed early, and could take months before they are delivered.By the way, stained glass films are not only designed to be able to hold back up to 90 per cent of the sun’s ultraviolet rays, which means a healthier home environment for you and your family; but also excellent for adding a great degree of privacy to your home, because they let in just enough light to keep your rooms well lit and yet provide a perfectly obscured transparency to keep others from freely looking inside your home.According to Sheila, the lady whose house has stained glass doors and windows, the effects that these films create are significant enough to be considered a full interior redesign, and that they are an extraordinary and vibrant medium for creating significant art, which can enrich personal and family living space in any home.
