The Civil Aviation Authority of the Democratic Republic of Congo (AAC) on Tuesday published a list of 29 chartered planes that have been grounded since May 15.According to AAC officials, the planes belong to about 20 companies, and they include four aircrafts that belong to the newly launched Fly Congo airline and three belong to African Aviation Company (CAA), the two biggest airlines in DR Congo. "These planes did not have their technical documents validated by AAC experts,” said Clarisse Ngombo Kalala, the communication officer for AAC.Madam Kalala said that the publication of the list is an indication of the reforms taking place in the air transport sector and it’s also meant to remind operators to ensure the safety of passengers and their goods.
