According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this year’s expo will be held under the theme, "Accelerating agriculture transformation by promoting agro-processing.” In an interview with The New Times, Norbert Sendege, the organising committee chairman, over 120 exhibitors from the EAC, South Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Australia are expected. "The main objective of this trade fair is to link agro-producers like farmers and farmers’ cooperatives to the buyers and micro-finance institutions because this can help us to boost the agriculture sector,” Sendege said.Sendege said that the event will be organised at a cost of Rwf80 million.He said that 95 percent of the exhibitors have already confirmed participation.
