Editor,Reference is made to your story in The NewTimes, May 21, under the headline "Uganda, Rwanda move to beef up border security”. The joint committee established by the two countries to analyse the security situation at Gatuna and Cyanika border posts will help stop crimes at the border points.I believe the committee will also tackle issues concerning smuggling of illegal products through the porous border points. We have heard in the past cases ranging from illegal crossing, to smuggling, we hope with more collaboration, this will stop.Teamwork will help end smuggling illicit drugs like marijuana and Crude waragi from neighboring countries.Enid BatamulizaNyagatare
