La Jeunesse Football Club have tasked new coach Geoffrey Okokwo to change the club’s fortunes from a bottom half mediocre team into regular top five campaigners, starting next season.The former Mukura Victory Sports coach has agreed a two-year contract worth Rwf 14.5m.  La Jeunesse chairman John Uwintwari told Times Sport yesterday that Okokwo will earn USD 1000 (about Rwf 600,000) per month plus other bonuses."He agreed to join the club and we have already agreed his monthly pay. He is currently on holiday in Burundi and when he comes back, we shall negotiate the signing on fee. His major brief will be to guide this club to a top 5 in the league,” Uwintwari stated.Okokwo guided Mukura to second place in the league in an extraordinary season for the Huye based club that also saw them defeat APR home and away as well as winning all their home matches.La Jeunesse parted ways with Emmanuel Ruremesha after a below par season that saw the club finish in 9th place in the Primus League.
