REG volleyball club on Monday departed for Tunisia ahead of the 2023 African Club Championships slated for May 10-22.
The delegation traveled aboard Ethiopian Airlines.

Club head coach Pierre Marshal Kwizera told Times Sport that he anticipates a tough outing for his men ahead of the tournament but vowed to fight their way into at least the last four.
"We have confidence in the players and I believe they can impress if they make the best out of experience and exposure gained from training,”Kwizera said.
REG men and APR women volleyball clubs will represent the country in the competition which brings together Africa’s elite volleyball clubs.
REG last appeared in the continental showpiece in 2021 where they finished in the ninth position. They could not take part in the 2022 edition as the institution allocated its budget to the basketball team during the 2022 Basketball Africa League (BAL).
Meanwhile, APR women volleyball team left the country for Tunisia on Friday, May 5, where they will represent the country in the women’s tournament which will take place from May 13-26.
