Editor,I was delighted to read in The New Times of May 16, as story under the headline, "Turkish Airlines makes maiden flight to Kigali.”It is very encouraging to see more and more airlines adding Kigali to their operational network. This speaks volumes for the pro-active and investor friendly approach of the Government of Rwanda. The Indian Merchants’ Chamber, a Premier Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country, has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Rwandan Private Sector Federation, thus making it easy for our two countries to do business together. Air connectivity is always a key factor in any development process. With the commencement of flights to Kigali, Turkish Airlines will increase air connectivity into the country. This will surely enhance Indo-Rwandan in trade, tourism and investments, among other areas of mutual interest.I wish Dr. Temel Kotil, CEO, Turkish Airlines, and his team every success with many happy landings in Rwanda – this beautiful land of a thousand hills and a million smiles!Clarence Fernandesclavinmarketing@gmail.com
