Dar es Salaam saw off stiff challenge from Kigali to win the hosting rights of this year’s regional club championships following the success of last year’s Challenge Cup and Kagame Cup.Besides staging a colourful tournament, Cecafa secretariat was also impressed by the fact that Tanzania managed to secure sponsorship for the tournament at the 11th hour.Meanwhile, Musonye has promises a more organized and competitive tournament this year."We know that last time, APR (Rwanda) complained about the poor state of the pitch in Morogoro but that will not happen again. "This is the oldest tournament in Africa and the different leagues in the region have improved competitively, so I hope that will reflect in the competition,” Musonye said by phone from Nairobi.Rwanda’s Representatives last year APR and Etincelles were eliminated at the group stages and Yanga of Tanzania won the tournament.
